Sometimes... I just wanna blog....

There's nothing in particular that I wanna talk about or blog about. But I just wanna add an entry to this boring blog of mine.

Someone ever told me before that the MRT actually can operate on an auto basis jus like the LRT. The person whom we always see at the front of the train is there just as an assurance to make sure nothing goes wrong.... I didn't know how true it was.....

Till today, I witness something.....

I take the train from Raffles Place to Marina Bay, like that then got place to sit mah. So usually, the train driver will pack up and walk to the other end of the train to start the train again and move North-Bound. It will normally be about a 5 to 10 mins wait before the train moves off. Today, it was unusually fast. Like once it reaches Marina Bay about less than 5mins, the train started moving. While the train was on its way to Raffles Place, I saw the train driver walked past me moving to the other end. Then it struck me, the train is moving without the driver operating it. Hmmm...

For a while I did got scared cause the train is almost approaching Raffles Place and the driver is still like quite a distance away. I was wondering will the train not stop at Raffles Place cause the driver is not there to stop it? But apparently, I reached home safe and sound. Haha! So probably, the rumor I heard is true.

Gotta ask around more to find out. Hmm.... Today I learnt something new. Lolx!

Victory....

After being con some many times by the Kim family during our mahjong game, I've finally recoup some of my losses yesterday night. Lolx! I bet Mrs Kim now is gonna accuse me of cheating the money of a poor preganant lady.

I think I owe it all to my bright red Adidas jacket..... I was losing quite a bit of money at first ever since I put it on after our break, I seems to be getting all the good cards. Or maybe is is the champagne grapes that I was eating giving me the win? Hehe! Nonetheless.... it all helped. haha! I think Mr & Mrs Kim will be putting a ban to my Adidas jacket the next time I'm going. Oei... jus go get one yourself lah. Maybe really got use leh. =p Maybe I should lend it to Joy. Poor woman... She suffered the most loss last night....

I see our Mrs Kim is getting sizeable for her preganancy. Her stomach very very round and getting bigger by the day. She ah... is the most most active preganant woman I have ever seen. Whenever you look at her walking or jumping about, I dun think anyone would think she's pregnant unless you see that stomache of hers. Lolx! She is really looking forward to the day her little "Thumbelina" is popping out. I am looking forward to that day too... Hee!

Advise for Surveyors & Insurance Agents

Having been a student myself and having being on the streets asking people to do surveys for my assignments, I know how much of a hell one had to go thru to get all the surveys done. So I have always been rather sympathetic towards people who ask me to do a survey on the street. If I really had that extra minute to spare, I would gladly oblige. But I would always steer clear of those who on the pretext of survey will try to sell insurance. Those people are jus annoying and irritating.....

Anyway, there was this morning when I was on my way to work..... I went to Arcade at Raffles Place to get breakfast. Having got my "chee cheong fun" I was walking damn fast to office cause I'm almost late for work and came this guy trying to stop me to do a survey. I was thinking.... what the hell? Trying to stop people during the morning crowd at Raffles Place to do survey. Where got people wanna stop de? Most people at tat time all rushing to office leh.... Dun have the spare time to stop and do some survey de lah..... Wish I had turned around to advise him on that. Probably he might get more response during lunch time where people are strolling more leisurely.... Aiyo.... Getting people to do survey is very difficult le. So please use some brain and choose the correct timing mah.... Haiz.....

Then there are those people who will call to try do surveys or try to do some selling.... Again, please use your own discretion to judge whether is that person interested to listen or not mah. There was this guy who call me saying he is from this certain insurance company and would like to share with me on some plans which they are having. I din wanna waste him time so I told him I actually have an insurance agent servicing my account already who is in the same company and that he also happens to be my friend. I thought that who help to cut short the conversation so he can move on to someone else. BUT!!! He had to went on to say, "Oh really? That's ok! Maybe we can all discuss together to see what we can offer you." DUH? Meet up with me with my insurance agent? Is this how it works nowadays? Is this some kinda new sales tactic? Please enlighten me.... *faint*

人生

开心要过,不开心也要过。那为何不开开心心的走完人生的路呢?
一个人的开心或不开心,在于自己。没人能带走你的快乐的。。。

Happiness lies in the hands of your ownself. No one has the right to take it away from you.... It really depends on how one see things. If everything oso 看得开, life wouldn't be that difficult. It's the attitude and the mentality......

I am jus musing over some philosophy of life late at night now.... hehe! =)

Starry Nite

I have a photo here which will make some guys envy..... hehe! I bet lots of them will be..... Lolx!
Rather obviously, that's Fiona Xie..... Hehe! (By the way, I know I look damn fat in that pic......) There was a Mediacorp event at my side. So I grab the opportunity to take a photo with her to make all my guy friends envy. =p Hehe! I had heard some talks previously that says she is rather snobbish. So wasn't sure if she'll be willing to take a photo. When we approach her, she gladly oblige and even stayed to chat for a while.... So looks like rumours ain't real.

There were others at the event too. Like Pierre Png, Gurmit Singh, those Singapore Idols contestants and a few others whom I dunno their names. There's one especially I was excited to see him there. And that's him......

I first saw him on TV in a show with Joanne Peh. He had purple hair in that show and was an Ah Beng. Noticed him then and realise he not bad looking. Recently there was another Channel 8 show with him starring as one of the lead oso. My sis is absolutely crazy about him. Haha! Oh... btw, his name is Elvin Ng. Forgot the chinese name though..... He's really good looking in real person, quite tall. He looks better off screen than on screen though.

I tried to contain the excitement to myself already. Didn't want to act like some star crazed fans. haha! But hor... aiya... cannot resist the chance to take photos with them right. Hehe! All thanks to Cheryl actually who ask them to take photos on my behalf. I shy mah..... Lolx!

Ok... I gonna sleep now... Maybe I can have some really sweet dreams tonight huh.... ;p

A Busy Week Ahead

I've been busy busy busy.....

Everyday at work, it seems to be buzzing with activities. But so far no complains though.... Busy is good. It really feels euphoric to be able to do something I like everyday, to be on familiar territories. =) It seems that everyday is different and there are something new to be learnt everyday. I'll be doing a radio interview this week for one of my charity event. Yes.... a radio interview in chinese. Haha! I can speak in mandarin but to be interviewed in that language is kinda foreign to me. In fact, being interviewed for an event is something totally unexpected and new. I'm gonna have difficulty translating some of the words and terms into chinese. Gotta be prepared for it man....

In case anyone is interested..... it is for this charity exhibition for the Saigon's Children Charity. There is this vocational school in Saigon which teaches children various skills and one of which is photography. So the photographs taken by these children will be exhibited at The Arts House and then interested parties can order the photographs. The proceeds will go to the Saigon Children's Charity and to The Business Times Budding Artist Fund which helps kids from underprivilege families who have a flair in the arts to explore futher their potentials. So... all in all, it's for a good cause. The exhibition will start on 14th September 2006 and ends in October. Come drop by if you have the time. It's really cool man.... :)

I've seen the photographs and even though I am not familiar with photography, I find the works of those children really good. It's not some regular pictures that they take. The photos are taken with skills. They are not jus asking for donations. They actually work for the donations to come in. Tat's really impressive!

Meanwhile.... this week will continue to be an extermely busy week, especially during the weekend. Lots of activities coming up..... Gotta perk up and work hard. =p

WoooHOOO!

YEAH!!!!

Guess what? I signed my first contract with client today. The first official contract, the first deal I clinched myself. Although no commission de..... but still feel very excited and happy. Aiya.... it's always good to know what I can accomplish mah..... :)

My GM was asking me today how I was settling in. I said I'm doing ok. He asked if it was the same as in CHIJMES, I said it's slightly easier here cause so far only venue hire. He told me.... "not yet... " Haha! Probably it's true. I have not come to the hard part yet.....

Looks like there's more coming! =p

The Day

I've got lotsa photos posted up on this blog entry. Cause it's all from my convocation. hehe! Yesterday was "The Day".... "The Day" I officially am conferred my degree. However sad to say, I find my Poly graduation more grand leh. Maybe it's the setting. My poly grad was in a proper nice auditorium, but the SIM one is in a hall where chairs are put in..... and the backdrop is so plain.....

Actually, I find convocations the most boring event. Cause there's lots of long speeches and then you jus wait for everyone to go on stage one by one and my turn is only like 1 min on stage? haha! But parents to them tat 1 min is jus as impt. But oh well, for me I guess being in a convo gown is like only once in a lifetime...... =) I reached school at 1plus and I saw lotsa others already in their convo gown. Hehe! I was dress damn casual lor... cause I thought once put on the convo gown no one knows wat i wear le mah.... haha!

This is Joei and me, in the room putting on our gowns. Joei's face look big in this photo. haha! She insist I hide my face behind her so that my face looks smaller. Some camera trick thingy lah. haha! She says I've mastered it! hohoho.

Janice and me.... Hehe! See how well I mastered the art of making my face smaller than the her? Lolx!

After the entire ceremony, the few of us gathered for photo. Proud to have our certs in our hands. =) Left to right: Jenny, Iris, Meiye, Me and Elaine

Although we were hard at work during our school days, the boys didn't forget to look for the loves of their lives. Here's the evidences of them and their love.

Peter and Meiye.... Together after lotsa persuasion.....

Fang Rong and Elaine, the studious couple. Mr and Ms Nice Guys.....

Another group photo.... Left to right: Joei, Me, (forgot her name) and Janice.

I seriously think I look damn funny in that gown. Jas says I look like some kindergaten kid.... #$%&^* lolx!

And there's Jas and me.... So happy he came for the ceremony even though I know it bores the hell out of him.

Lastly.... Photos I took with Peter and Meiye separately....

Wanted to take more individual shots with the rest... but somehow we seems to got lost from each other..... Anyway, I wish all of them a successful career path ahead!!!! =) It was really fun working on projects with all of them and enjoying each other's company. Life at school wouldn't be the same without them.

Cheers~
