My Last Weekend Alone (before Jas is back)

Jas is coming back in 4 more days... Missing him quite a bit even though I'm having lotsa fun these 2 weeks. Haha! I realise my weekends hadn't been lonely....

Last Friday, Yenling and I went to join Edmond and his friends at this cafe call Mind Cafe . It's like the Settlers Cafe where you can play boardgames and have drinks and snacks. They have many kinds of games which you can play, some not easily seen in Singapore. I like the game Snorta! the best... haha! damn funny sia... Heart attack was fun also. I still remember last time in primarty school I always played that de. That place must go in one big group then fun. Like tat can try out a few games..... And it's not ex lor.... We stayed from 11pm to 3am only paid $14. It includes a drink, snacks and the hourly charges... Quite cool...

I went MOS for the first time yesterday. Again it was with Yenling, Edmond and his group of friends. After hearing so many people saying that the place is quite disappointing, I had lowered my expectation of tat place. True enough, it's nt really fun lor. Actually, the place itself as in the decor and music is good. But the crowd jus isn't happening... See lots of wierd people there leh....

I especially like Pure. The room is so nice with lotsa whites all over... Next time I go I wanna try the bed seats like these....

Yenling and me! Oh... btw, I'm back to straight boring hair again. Couldn't stand my curls already. Not here not there, so I went to straighten out everything.... Haiz... I think I will miss my curls sia.....

Eh... This guy in the pic hor... I dunno his name. Yenling and me refers to him as "The Slogan". Apparently, he has a famous slogan that has everyone laughing. Hehe! Didn't really talk to him much but he seems pretty nice compared to this other irritating guy.... That other guy hor, take pic insists wanna sit between Yenling and me leh then put his hands on our shoulder very tight some more.... eee... Hate this kinda people.

This is Edmond's good friend.... Very nice guy... His name is Joshua. Very funny very cute.... Too bad... I think he's taken. If not can intro to my friends maybe... lolz! Actually ah... Go out with them feel very old leh... They mostly younger than me de. =p

We left at about 2.30am cause I got a curfew. Jason wants me to be home by 3am... He didn't wanna let me go MOS de at first.... Cause he say I drink already always very havoc. haha! Think he just jealous I going out enjoy he cannot go... haha! So in the end, he make me promise him cannot drink and must be home by 3am lor.... Anyway, it was getting really boring at MOS, so no harm leaving early....

Reach home damn super tired.... Plop onto bed and slept till this afternoon 1.30pm.... Now feeeling tired again.... *yawnz* Jus want this week to pass quickly so that I can see Jas soon..... =)

Welcome to the Cabaret!!!

I went for the musical, Cabaret yesterday. I got lucky cause I watched it for free. I got luckier cause I got the front row seats.... hehe! So I got a pretty good view.

The opening scene was good, something not easily seen in conservative Singapore. haha! I thought there was going to be more of it, but sad to say... no more lor...

It's more on the love story between the American, Clifford (quite good looking) and the cabaret girl, Sally (Emma Yong) at the place where they live in lor, which is this rented room somewhere. Then also about this old couple who love each other but didn't get married cause one is a German and the other is a Jew.... The story is set in Berlin by the way.

Ok lah... Overall, it's quite entertaining although some parts can be quite draggy. The ending was rather abrubt though. It didn't conjure up much emotions within the audience, or at least not in me. I was kinda expecting more scenes on the "Kit Kat Club" which is the cabaret club. Emma Yong was good though. Didn't know she got such powerful voice. Fei Xiang, needless to say, of course good de lah. hehe

Oh well... It's a nice experience. It was my first time watching a performance in Esplanade. haha! Mountain turtle hor... hahahaha!

Again it's Friday already. Hehe! My last weekend alone. Jas will be back next week. Hurrah! =p

我是幸福的

有时候，我真的觉得我是幸福的。。。

虽然，不是所有的事都是顺顺利利的，也有不开心的时候。 可是，我知道有了一群真正对我好的朋友，陪我一起笑的时候，我就觉得，上天没有亏待我。=）

这几天， 我不觉得孤单。谢谢你们，我永远的朋友。*muacks*

I went for my yoga class yesterday... Wanted to do ashtanga, but then scared a bit too shiong for a Monday so I switch it to Hatha instead. Have not been doing much yoga recently... Very waste money leh... Pay le but not been going.... Cannot cannot ah! Must put myself back on momentum and start attending more classes.

After my class, I went to look for Joei. She's fixing up her hair at the Shunji Matsuo, the one in Isetan Wisma. She was suppose to just go for a haircut, but end up doing hair colour as well.... Woo hoo.... Nice sia. The stylist gave her a very hip haircut. Short at the front and top layer and long in the bottom layer. Like those you see in jap hair magazine de. The colour also very nice. Copper red on the top and and brighter red on the inner layer... Aiyo.... I like. Now tat I see how nice her hair is, I also thinking of doing something with my hair le. I need a fresh new colour for sure.... But I still deliberating between curls or straight..... Haiz...

Curls very mafan leh... But I like. I kinda miss straight hair too.... Wah lau... So difficult to make a decision.... Sianz... Nvm... I'll only be going to the salon on Sat. So I still got time to think. Lolx!

A Lovely Weekend

Friday after work, I went to meet Yenling, Tween Teng, Guang Hao and Lup at Orchard for dinner. I had the craving for Teppanyaki again ( haha! 2nd time this week) and they gladly obliged. This time I had a taste of a few other choices cause Yenling ordered Squid and Lup ordered Oyster. I sat between the 2 of them and so I helped myself to theirs oso. Haha!

After dinner, we proceeded to the Balcony. Edmond and Jeremy joined us shortly.... Balcony hor... not bad leh. Quite a nice place to chill out and have a few drinks. Music is not too loud so conversations are possible. Nice...

They were have a Happy Hour Promotion like one for one and stuff like tat, but hor, I was tantalized by the description of the Mint Chocolate Martini. Somthing about the "melting chocolate", I cannot resist. Wah lau... but hor... haiz... disappointing. It tasted like courgh syrup... *faintz*

Haiz.... Bo bian lor, so while the others are enjoying their beers, I had to finished that drink. To make sure I get a nice drink after that, I ordered the safest option. And that's ......... ICE LATTE! Hahahhahaha! First time in a pub I drink Ice Latte. But ok lah... Nice mah....

With Lup around, there are always endless of entertainment. He amuse us with his stories and his jokes plus all those "old secondary school time stories". Hehe! Actually, we all talk about the 丑事 of one another and had a good laugh teasing each other. Lolx! All this in good fun.....

After so many years le, can see all have grown up and mature over the years already. Even Lup whom use to play a certain emphasise on money have seem to mellow. Probably it all came with his experiences when he travelled around. It really feels good to gather with the right people once in a while and have a good time. Having known each other for so long, there's no need to be prententious whatsoever. Cheers~ Friends! =)

After spending hours at the Balcony, we adjourned for supper at the Kopitiam near the Youth Park for supper before we headed for home seperately. Hmm... wonder when can we all meet up again like tat. Probably the next time when Lup is back in Singapore ba. He'll be leaving for Aussie again on Tuesday.....

I reach home at about 4am I think. Wanted to go for Yoga the next day before meeting Joei, Janice and Sinta de, but hor... hehe! I cannot wake up in time. =p Plus, there was rain and I ended up being late meeting them.

Joei and Janice treated us to yummy Pepper Lunch and it's really good. Haiz.... Thinking about it, I remembered I still owe Jas a treat there as well ah.... haiz...

After that, we all sort of seperated. Sinta and Hoon went to look for some maternity wear while Joei, Janice and me shop around aimlessly. Din managed to see anything nice leh, so din buy anything. We did something very bo liao though. We wanted to use the toilet at Taka but there was a long queue, so hor, while waiting, we took picture..... Lolx!

Joei and I went for coffee after tat. Joei so nice, she accompanied me till it was time to meet Kel and the rest for movie. As planned, we went to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. Not bad... Quite entertaining and funny. I should probably get the dvd of part 1 to watch so I know more of what is going on. Joei told me prior to the movie, not to leave after the movie ended cause after the credits there is a surprise. Meow also heard from his friends. So after the movie ended we waited..... The credits was super long lor.... almost 10 mins i think, and i was starting to suspect could it be a joke that some joker started to make people watch the credit. There were a few others waiting also. I suppose they also heard of it ba.....

Haha! Indeed, there was a surprise.... I shan't say it here. People who intend to watch it hor, remember to stay till it finishes ah... The surprise is indeed a good one. haha!

So there, it's another weekend spent without Jas.... Jus one more weekend before he comes back.... I miss him....

It's Friday Again

Yoz... It's another Friday.... 2 weeks from now, Jas will be back. Hehe! Am counting down the days till he gets back here.

Tonight was suppose to have dinner with Janice, Joei and Sinta together with their partners de. But cause Janice got a supposedly "D&D" so she cannot make it lor, so the plans was changed to tml afternoon. Aiyo... they treating mah, so anytime oso can lah. As long as they dun runaway can le. hahaha!

Lucky tonight I got other plan, if nt hor, it will be a lonely Friday night for me again after Janice cancel the dinner appointment. I will be meeting Yenling for dinner first. After that we'll be meeting a few others from BPS last time including Ah Lup, Guanghao, Jeremy and Edmond. Yesterday was Ah Lup's bday, probably we can treat this as a bday celebration for him as well. So 巧 while we were planning for the meeting up, he's back from Aussie.

Wah lau. Now totally no mood to work lor.... Weekend mood le... Oh well... 混到时间到吧！Lolx!

First Weekend Alone In SG

Jas has flown to Thai on Fri early morning..... And this was my first weekend alone in Singapore. There are 2 more such weekends to go.... Haiz...

I played mahjong on Friday as usual. But somehow, knowing that after the session I won't be seeing Jason like as always, it feels kinda wierd... Actually, this entire weekend, a sense of lonliness seems to envelope me. Feels kinda stifling....

Yesterday, was also another night of mahjong, but this time I played with Sinta, Joy and Hoon. Aiya... lost as usual. haha! But not much. Only $1.40. Hehe! After the game ended, I took a cab back to Yishun to meet Edmond at Northpoint Mac for supper. Haha! He was telling me how excited he was to have met up with Geri earlier in the day and how much he wish he would have one more chance with her. I guess he would have to take it slow ba.... After all they were seperated for 7 years already. But then again, we never know what the boss up there has got planned for us. So who knows? He might have his luck. haha! Jia You ah!

Edmond and me also talk about sch days stuff and what are some of the funny things that had happened before. We asked each other stupid hypothetical questions that are so ridiculous and we just cannot stop laughing. Both of us chatted for about 3hrs before we decided it's enough and time to go back home.

It always feels good to catch up with old friends.... To have a good laugh, to talk about the good old times....

I miss Jas.... So many more days to go.... Haiz....

I've signed the appointment letter.....

Date is fixed. Work will commence on 21 August, after my 24th birthday. So exciting....

Wish me luck in my new job. Hehe! Hope to bring more good news after my 6 months probation. =P

The Last Match

Haiz.... I lost.....

I made a bet with Jas. I took France and he took Italy. The one who lost the bet has to give a treat at Pepper Lunch. Oh well.... Treat him next month lah. This month broke le. =P

Wah lau... I was still quite confident France will win de leh. Until I see Zidane kanna red card. In my heart I was thinking, "jia lat liao, gotta treat Jas le. haiz...." Dunno wat Zidane thinking leh. Such an important match. Maybe cause last match le, plus he retiring le, so he must 轰轰烈烈 for once ah?! Hehe!

And so, the World Cup winner...... ITALY!

Saturday Night Fever

Jas was suppose to bring me go eat the Rochor Tao Huay yesterday de, cause he promise to treat me before he leaves for Bangkok, but end up I had Gula Melaka Tao Huay at Suntec instead. He normally dun like to go town on weekends de leh, but dunno why, yesterday he suggested going Suntec/Marina to walk walk. Maybe cause he knows I like to go walk walk so he wants to bring me there, make me happy before he leaves ba..... =)

Lots of us went together actually.... There was Kel, Eug, Yongping, Tan and "表哥". We went to the area outside Carrefour where there are lots of 小吃. I had the bubble tea, the Cold Noodle salad, Potato and Marsh and also the Gula Melaka Tao Huay. Yummy..... All very nice leh. The rest of the boys also bought quite a bit of food and we all share them. Oh...btw, I wore the new coloured contact lens I bought the other day. I bought brown. Nice leh. The effect is subtle. I like. Too bad, I din take any photo.... Next time ba.

After Suntec, one of the boys suggested we go watch the movie, 鬼域 (Re-cycle).

The show is quite ok... It is marketed as a horror movie but I think it's more than that. There is some sort of an underlying meaning in the whole show. It's about a writer, who falls into this dimension whereby all the unwanted things/people are there. For example, characters or things that a writer has thought of, wrote it, but then discarded the idea, or tombstones/ancestors that people have forgotten about or have stopped going to 记拜 them. There was also a place where the aborted babies are stored and they are suppose to carry on growing there.

Parts of it at the back are quite touching.... Not too bad a show really. After the show, all of us went back home le lor. When I reach home, haha! jus nice 3am, so I watch the Germany-Portugal match. I knew it! I knew Germany would win. Aiya, cannot give them the Cup, they would at least get 3rd place de lah....

See how ba... If I can "tahan" tonight, I'll watch the finals! Italy Vs France. It's quite hard to see who will win leh... But my guess is France. We'll see if I'm correct. ;)

Almost Weekend

Yippee!!! The weekend is almost here. Another hr more and I would finish work for the day. Tonight's mj session is gonna be more special. We are going to play at Jac's friend's place to play. Maybe, we get to play by the pool too.... Haha! Pool = water = luck. So we'll see who's the lucky one tonight. Lolx!

I have said "yes" the the offer from The Arts House earlier this week. Hope it's not a wrong choice.... Have always wanted to work there but somehow something seems to be pulling me back. But still, I'll get to work with Amnah again. Haha! It will be like back at Chijmes. So exciting! hehe! So far the job scope that was spelled out to me, everything seems interesting. After months of desk bound job, I am sure craving to get up and running. But very soon, I know, I'll be complaining again. We'll see about that then.

Alright, back to work now... Finish up the last bit and I can go enjoy..... Cheers~

Umbrella and Me

I think hor.... I is fated not to get sheltered from rain de. Haiz....

Ever since I've started work here, there has been a few mornings when it has been raining. And without an umbrella, it's impossible to cross from the opposite building to this building.

Twice, I was stranded, cause I had left home without and umbrella. Ever since then, I have always brought a brollie with me, whenever I see dark grey skies...... And for the third time today since I have been remembering to bring it out, when I reach here, the rain has stopped. Thus no use for my brollie..... Wtf?!

To some people, they may feel it's no big deal. Cause it's jus bringing an umbrella lor.... But hor, for me, it's different. I, since last time, has never favoured carrying an umbrella around. Even when it's raining, I do not have the habit of putting one in my bag.

So now when I make the effort to bring it and I always dun get to use it, I'm pissed.... *humph*

Haha! Time flies.... Now this short and fat god-bro that I have has turned into a tall, handsome dude. Wah lau, now taller than me always "suan" me lor. He again is those few whom we seldome chat but still he regards me as his god-sis. Sometimes when i send him some forwarded msgs, he'll reply me and say I'm so sweet to send such an encouraging email when he needed it most etc.....

He is going thru some rough patch at the moment. Some girlfriend problem I think. Well, I hope he gets thru it soon. 加油！你可以的！ =)

A Wedding

This is the 2nd wedding that I have attended this year. This time.... it's Guohua's.... a secondary school friend. We have never really spoken while at school. We just know of each other's existence, tat's all. Yet we all only knew each other better out of school. Well, tat's fate at work again I think.

Saw a few secondary sch friends at the wedding.... Those whom I have never met for a long time. Particularly happy to see Yilin after so long, my netball team-mate back in those days. Too bad, we din get to take a pic together.

Seeing a secondary friend getting married, it really reminds me that we are all now grown up. All of us are starting to take on new roles in life. Moving on from ones stage to another. Haiz..... I am getting older.... sianz....

But hor, while others are getting settled and all, I am still neither here nor there. I don't even have a proper permanent job for god's sake. Come to think of it, I think Jas is right. Both of us are not yet properly settled in our jobs so taking things one at a time is probably good. No point jumping into one thing only to realise the foundation is weak.

Jas in flying off in another week's time. He'll be off to Thailand for his reservist. He's gonna be there for 3 weeks ah.... We will be away from each other jus like the time when I was in Melbourne for 3 weeks oso. He promised to take me to go eat my fav Tao Huay before he leaves. Hehe! We'll make it this Sat!
