Exciting Weekend Ahead

This weekend is gonna be an exciting one for me.... Haha! Tonight, I am meeting Jacky and his gf for some drinks. He wants to intro his gf to me cause her gf's a M'sian. She could do with more friends here at Singapore.

Then comes the exciting part... Sat-The day before Sinta's wedding. I will be staying with Janice, Joei and Joy (hmm... how come all their name start with "J", I should change my name too) at Sinta's Dad's place, since we are Sinta's Jie Mei. Lolx! Shld be lotsa fun and laughter. And then Sun, is THE DAY.

Will get to see Sinta looking all pretty in her wedding gowns.

What is more fantastic is that, I dun have to work the entire of next week. It's chalet time!!!!!

OMG, no mood to work liao.... hehe!

After waiting 1 and a half hr for it, it still din come. I almost die from hunger le. So I went out for lunch instead.

Based on the above msn conversation, I should probably dedicate a blog post here to all the fast-food delivery man in Singapore. Cause hor, it's thanks to them I will be able to eat hot and nice burger in the office on a rainy afternoon soon. Waiting for it to be delivered.

Yes... lazy me, dun wanna go out eat. Cause of the rain. So the most convenient thing is to order delivery. Poor them, they have to feed people's stomach no matter rain or shine.

It's another Monday again. So fast... another weekend gone.... Looking forward to Ms Sinta's wedding this coming Sunday.

Went over to her place on Fri to check out the dress that Ms Janice had kindly borrowed for me from her 大嫂. It fits nicely! And tat solves my problem. Joei, me and Janice also had a secret meeting at the balcony of Sinta's hse to discuss what we are gonna make Hoon do before we open the door for him to pick up Sinta on that day. haha!

Actually, poor Hoon. Marrying Sinta is already very hard on him.... Now, on his wedding day, he still gotta deal with us (the Jie Meis). Haha! You see, Hoon, Birds of the Same Feather Flock together. Lolx!

The highlight of that night was teaching Hoon to act like an Ah Beng so that he can go pick up Ah Lian girls. It seems like Hoon has a fetish for Ah Lian. Although Sinta qualifies as a Ang Mo Lian but Hoon prefers those traditional kind of Ah Lians. After being rejected "one too many" (Hoon, 2006) times, Hoon has decided to get a crash course from us. Joei and me taught him how to walk first. U know, those typical Ah Beng way of walking.... Legs open wide (as if their dick is too big), hands swing left, right, left, right at the back. Hoon tried his hardest to imitate but at the end, it seems like he's doing some kinda aerobics.

We taught him how to stand also, tapping the foot, shaking the entire body. Joei say he look as if he wants to pee. Haha! Oh well.... Hoon... it looks like you need to practice more. That was my first lesson. Complimentary. Should you need more lessons, do enquire with me on the course fee. Aiya... friend friend, can charge you cheaper one. Haha! I can get you a male coach if you want. He goes by the name Jason Beng...... haha!

Saturday, went for Guohua's ROM celebration with Jac, Jas, Kel, Eug, Adrian, Steven and Meow. Had a buffet dinner there before we proceeded to KTV. Long time no go sing song le.... Sat hor, KBox expensive leh. But 久久一次 lah.... Anyway, it was fun!

Last but not least, the next eligible bf material, Adrian!!! Erm... He's acting cute lor... 美少男！

We sang till 1plus am ah... before we proceeded for mahjong and well... it was more mahjong on Sunday too. Haha!

Alas, back to work.... zzzzzzzz...........

恋爱初体验

I had my first experience of a proper relationship when I was 13. Whatever that was before that, was jus "puppy love". Haha! Nothing serious. I was way too young then.

This guy, we name him, Jack was one year my senior in school. Knew him thru a classmate. Couldn't exactly recall who my tat classmate was. I was staying late in sch I think for my netball training and somehow, my group of friends and him started talking. For watever reason I cannot recall (or was it my birthday, he wanna sabo me), Jack got an egg and chase me around the whole school wanting to throw that egg at me. That's how we met.

Words started to get round that he likes me and I found him kinda cute. Not long after (thru nights of phone calls), we started out together. Whenever I had netball training on weekdays, he would wait for me, buy drinks for me and after that send me home. He was in Boys' Brigade and he had drills on Sats. I had netball trainings on Sat too. So after that, we would normally go for lunch at either the BK or KFC at Thomson Plaza. Once in a while, we will go watch some movies.

Relationships are a lot simple back then. Dating was also unpretentious. Having a meal, watching movies was happy enough for us. He was sweet. The most memorable thing that he had ever done was give me this very unique present on V-day.

He wrapped up an egg in a box with the words "Fate brought us together through this egg" written on it. That was the 1st time, a guy actually moved my heart. It's just somthing very very simple, yet means a lot. It's really the thought that counts.

Of course not everything is 甜甜蜜蜜的. We had our quarrels also. I remembered very clearly this incident that hurt me. But now when u come to think of it, it's quite silly. I had long hair back then and I never ever had it cut short while in sec sch. So one day, I dunno wat came over me, I went to the salon and cut it short. It was ugly... nerdy kind of ugly. But at the time mah, dunno it's nt nice. I went to sch and show it to Jack. Guess wat? He laugh at me along with one of his friend and sort of avoided me in sch for a few days. So pissed! 2 of my good friends, Yenling and Xueyan told him off even. Haha!

Anyway, I know he's sorry for that incident cause many years after that, he wrote me a letter, saying he had always felt bad. And that he was so silly not to have appreciated the days when he was with me to make the relationship worked out. For all we know, we might still be together? No? I oso dunno....

In what ever case, we din break up because of that incident. We broke up cause..... er... i oso not sure why.... Maybe cause we started to drift apart? He started to hang out more with this other guy and this girl he claims he's friend was after. I din believe him and accused him of having feelings for tat girl. So I initiated the break up. For a while after that in school, we din talk and I hated that girl like mad (tat girl looks like Gong Li, by the way). But now, Jack and I are still good friends. We still hang out some times....

So there.... that was my 初恋。 Lolx!

Bernie Vs Toffee

Hey... Look here! This is my buddy-at-work. He's Bernie the Bear!!!!

"Hi! I'm Bernie!"

I bought this bear yesterday at Barang Barang during lunch. He looks so cute on the shelf, I can't resist but brought him back to office. The other reason is that Bernie looks like my dog.... Toffee.

This is Toffee..

Toffee and I seems to have an affinity for each other. I saw her when she was only 3mths old. Nancy sold her to me... Her dog gave birth to 2 puppies and Toffee was one of them. When I stepped into the room tat day, Brownie (her name at that time) immediately strutted to me. Nancy said at that time, she normally won't one. Conclusion, she likes me! haha!

And the next most fascinating thing is tat, she was born on 15 Aug. Means hor, same birthday as Jas. Haha! So hor, see? Very 有缘 hor?

She's been here for 2yrs plus le and she has brought much laughter to the household. My dad absolutely loves her. He is so much more willing to walk a distance to buy food / snacks for her rather than for any other members of the hse. Haha! Although we are nt sure whether is Toffee afraid of the dark, whenever we go out, we will leave the lights on for her.

Now hor... cannot imagine life without her. Sometimes just look at her running around in the hse, will feel very happy le. Dunno why oso.....

Haha!Gotta stop now.... Bernie bear is asking me to get back to work le.... Lolx!

My Weekend

Back at work on a Monday....

Had a normal weekend jus like any other. Nothing special.... Woke up late on Sat. Was suppose to accompany Yenling to the salon to do her perm, but by the time I got up and changed, she was done already. Haha! Went to meet her anyway. Now we both got nice curls. hehe!

Can see from the photo my eye red red hor... Sianz... Sunday wake up eyes red and swollen again. End up din make it to Sinta's hse.

Haha! So cool. She went to the same salon I went to. It's just a neighbourhood salon but it's very good. The lady boss very careful when she does rebonding, colouring and perming. So hor... feel more 安心 when she meddles with the hair. And most importantly, her charges are reasonable.

Me and Yenling went to eat. Actually is she and her sister eat lah. I no eat.... I ate at home le. But she and her sister are both starving after spending hrs at the salon. They no eat before they go mah. Lolx! After that, I went over to Jas place le lor.

Jas dad celebrating 50th bday. Ah Tan and Kel came over also. Jas dad and aunties cooked lots of delicious food for everyone. Caught a few cute shots of Maomao.

She kept looking out the window to see who's here. Haha! So cute!

Finally, her friend is here...... Lolx!

After the celebration, we went to watch Final Destination 3 with Jac, Adrian and Meow. It's one of those kinda teenage horror flick movie, but not bad lah. Jus tat everyone died in a very 夸张 way. The moral of the story is 要死的一定躲不过。Like Adrian say, 大难不死，必有后福 is fake de. Haha! Heard the FD2 is nicer leh. Must go find the VCD / DVD to watch.

Guess wat we did after the movie? Haha! Mahjong lor. Our favourite past-time. This time, I won money. Yeah! Haha!

Sunday hor... haiz... sianz ah. Suppose to go Sinta's hse, but cause of my stupid eye, din go. Missed out on the fun le. Hey girls, we try arrange another day can? Okie okie? When Hoon is nt around. So we can hv more outrageous fun. haha!

Know wat? Forgot which day hor, I dreamt that my teeth are falling out. Jus now I was in a bookshop, saw book on deciphering dreams. It says dreaming of teeth falling out signifies changes or transition to maturity (aiya i think it mean growing old lah). And the fear of teeth dropping means there's a resistance towards growing old. Wah lau! Means wat? I 怕老 meh? zzzzz......

Haiz... watever lah. Anyway, before I finish off this entry, one last pic... Jus wannt put it up cause it looks so cute. hehe!

我在同样的一天，两个好友让我又两种相冲的心情。

一个兴奋的带我去看婚纱，在筹备她的婚礼，另一个却告诉我她要离婚。。。我的心，处于在七上八下的状态。顿时，对婚姻充满了疑惑。

两个人相爱，有必要结婚吗？而结了婚，感情淡了，变了，离开时一定的吗？那婚姻的定义又是什么？

Actually, I am more affected by the news of the divorce. I dunno why but I feel extreme sadness. Maybe just emotional…. I cannot bear to see couples who after so many years together, end their relationship. Dunno why oso….

世界上，每个人都有过着自己的生活，走着自己的路。 好不容易，两个人走到了交叉路，遇见了对方，认识了对方，这就叫做缘分。能够在一起， 更是一种奇妙的缘分。我觉得啊，应该好好地珍惜。

有时候，停下脚步，想一下当初为何会爱上对方，可能，或许，能找回一些当年的感情。

Suay Suay Suay - Part 2

Following the bus broke down incident 2 days ago, yesterday I was late for work I think most likely due to it. Think they got not enough bus as they brought the fault bus to repair so they actually do away with 1 slot, hence I gotta take a later bus.

Today, me is super duper late for work again. Look at the time of this posting. Yes... I jus step into the office.

Just before Lornie Road, tat stretch, jam like mad. To make matters worse, the bus I was in had a minor accident with a Matrix.

I oso nt sure wat happen. I was slping, suddenly I felt the bus jerk very hard. When I open my eyes, this black Matrix was like right before me. Really damn close. At first I thought din hit. But when the bus stop at the next traffic light, the driver (with his 2 friends) of the Matrix came and knock on the door of the bus driver and ask for settlement. I dunno wat the fuck they talk about lah.

All I know is, I'm late for work again. And this time, is really really very late.... Haiz....

Where did it all go?

For the first time, in terms of career and work, I feel lost.....

All the while, before I completed my degree or even way before that, I was clear what I wanted to do. Yet now, finally, officially stepping into the working society, I'm unsure of how it's gonna be.

Why is this so?

Robin is right. I seems to have lost my drive.... My drive to learn and my will to excel. I wasn't like this 3yrs ago. What happen? Am I too caught up in all the emotional baggage?

I can't go on like tat. I nd to be like how I was back then. The one who's sure and confident of what I need and what I want. The one who's filled with zest, motivation and drive.

I nd a rest.....

After tat, I'll carry on..... I'll be back..... I'm sure!

Past and the Present

At a time when I was struggling with the past and the present, I saw the following words in an MTV.....

我无法找回过去遗失的记忆,

也无法留住现在美好的幸福.

未来的一切相信只剩下伤害.

我不知道怎样面对 过去 和 现在,

所以选择一个人的未来。。。

The words seems to have spoken what I felt. And I desperately wanted to make the decision of facing the future alone. I didn't.....

Maybe it was the fear of loneliness tat stopped me or perhaps, it was really the love in me, the love that I once felt so strongly. I couldn't give it up.

And now.... I'm glad I did not make tat decision. For now, the past seems to have slowly crawl out of me. Tears no longer well up in my eyes when I see familiar scenes or hear familiar names. Sure, my heart still skips a beat or two when sweet scenes of the past flashes thru my mind, but that sharp pain which was so unbearable then, is no longer there. My biggest regret, would be ending up no longer as friends. It isn't the way I wanted but I can't do anything about it. It isn't my decision..... Oh well....

Of course the future ahead is still blur and greyish but then, who can say they are really 100% sure of how life will be like in the future? We all have to work towards it.

For now, I am happy the way things are....... and I certainly hope it stays this way for a long long time......

2 Days MC

Me... Have been on MC for 2days. All thanks to my super sensitive eyes. Ever since the previous eye infection, I have been super careful nt to wear my contact lens for too long but still kanna. Now my eyes all red and swollen. Not pretty le. =(

Wah lau... so mafan leh. Every hr gotta put eye drops. Some more the eye drop must be kept in the fridge de. And hor, each time after I put eye drops a while later when I swallow saliva, damn bitter sia. I think is the eye drop flow down to the mouth area. Wah lau. Damn er xin ah.

Doc advise me stay at home, cause might be infectious. Today is the 2nd day of MC le, but my eyes still as swollen leh. Doc say hor, if one week still like tat must go back see him le. Oh god! Please let me eyes recover. I wan to be Swee Swee. Lolx!

Ok ok... Stop here le. Cannot blog le... My eyes a bit pain after staring at the screen.... haiz... on my poor eyes.....

We were supposed to have a purple-themed lunch 2day at Sketches. But it seems like everyone had played Ms Janice out. She was the only one all decked-out in the royal colour of purple. Wah Lau! Even her undies was the same shade of purple as the dress she’s wearing. Well, she showed it to us…. Haha! Erm… Me? I had on my new purple mascara and purple Jwest heels. Sinta very the 勉强的 produce her small purple purse. And well, dear Joei forgot all about the theme and she appeared in black. Haha!

Had a nice pasta lunch. Been having pasta for the past 2 days (kenny rogers, pasta mania) ... Gonna fat die me le. But hor... nice lah... Pasta is one of my fav food.

Joei hor... she so troublesome leh. Eat beef steak, too cook cannot cause no blood, too raw oso cannot cause too bloody. The waiter change a total of 3 steaks for her ah. The waiter so nice hor, cause i think he interested in Joei. Haha! He came over when we finish our meal to ask for number on the pretense that his friend want it. Lolx! We never give lah.

However, Me and Janice concluded later that the waiter wanted Joei's number so that he can haunt her in the middle of the night to take revenge for making things so difficult for them. Haha! Joei ah Joei, next time be more careful when u go eat there ah. They might just poison you. Next time, request to cook the steak urself. Like tat no need mafan others.

Hmm.... Sunday's plan has been cancelled or rather postponed to the following week. Haiz... had been looking forward to it. Oh well.... good things are worth waiting for. haha.

Mouse Story

A Mouse Story

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall tosee the farmer and his wife open a package.What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered.

He was devastated to discover it was a mouse trap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimedthe warning.There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mouse trap in the house!"The chicken clucked and scratched, raised herhead and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me.I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "Thereis a mouse trap in the house! There is a mouse trap in the house!"The pig sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mouse trap in the house! There is a mouse trap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head downand dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.The farmer's wife did not get well, she died.

So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing aproblem and think it doesn't concern you, remember --when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.We are all involved in this journey called life.We must keep an eye out for one another and make anextra effort to encourage one another.

When everything comes to a bottle-neck, everything seems to be at a stagnant stage and complicated. This is so stiffling. It's so suffocating.

When he said "no point rushing into it".... I caught the underlying meaning....

Maybe he's right... No point rushing into something we both are nt sure about. Yet my heart aches.....

Maybe it is just one of those kinda moods I'm feeling....
